Panera helps Hunger Action Month

Today marks the beginning of Hunger Action Month throughout the nation.  All month long food banks across the United States will be participating in activities to generate awareness about hunger in their communities. 

One of our many partners this month is Panera Bread.  During the month of September, all Knoxville, Alcoa, and Oak Ridge Panera locations will be collecting canned food items to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank.  On October 1st, all collected items will be brought back to the food bank, and later given to individuals in need.  Thank you Panera for partnering with Second Harvest and helping to bring awareness of hunger in our area.
